I found this website - Dog ID Collar

It does away with tags coz the info is embroidered on the collar itself. AND if you get the 3/8" width side release collars there is an option to buy the breakaway collar (which reduces the risks of strangulation coz it just comes undone) which is meant for cats, but it seems to suit the needs of those who want ID on their dogs 24/7 but are worried about collars getting caught.

the Happy Customers pix- showing Stevie Nicks and Merlin- the red collar appears to be a martingale but they don't list that under the products tab :confused2:

Mine wear theirs 24/7, I don't know why you can't see them. I bought the collars from Dogs Unlimited, rolled leather collars with brass buckles, and a free name plate of brass comes with them. Yes mine wear their tags too.

both Jake and Luna wear collars all the time, though with Jake's new collar you would never know it. We are in an apartment and with a 13 year old and a 22 year old the chances of getting are too great :eek2: my 22 year old has a malti-pom mix but Tiki rarely comes out of my son's room.

Mine wears his collar 24/7. He's in and out all the time. We do not have a fence. But we are between 700 to 800 feet off the road with about 4 acres of lawn and another 35 acres of woods. Our yard is pretty much surrounded by a stone wall or trees. Cedar has never attempted to leave the yard, even when he's chasing turkeys or squirrels. I have seen him go to the edge of the woods, stop look back at the house, and he seems to say "Nah, it's not worth the scolding".

Bailey doesn't wear her collar all the time, but I want her too. She has a wired crate. I'm afraid I'm going to forget to take her collar off once day. Dog tags are known to get caught in wired crates and can choke your dog. I don't want to take to chance. She is in her crate a few times a day.

I do put on her collar when I take her for walks
