Having second thoughts

I always say "I will NEVER have another sheltie!" due to thier quirks, and bad experiances with one of my current shelties, Ruckus. but I am not really sure that I mean it. The last time I said that I would never have another sheltie my border collie passed away and all be darn.... I went out and got another sheltie!
lol! I was looking into Westie breeders and I just KNEW I was going to get one. But nope, I ended up with Lynn :)

thats definitly me  I was all set I was going to get a collie, but then I thought who needs a boring old collie, I got my shelties to keep me on my toes, and to keep me thinking! gotta love them shelties!

I thought one sheltie was enough....

But oh dear! Here are the pups that I'm going to go see on Sunday....
Indy is now 8 months (just a little younger than Bacca). This is Indy at 12 weeks.

p.s. David is not talking to me - he thinks if he ignores me, this idea will go away....:uhoh::smile2:

they are both so cute!! you have a tough choice! I kinda like the tri myself but the blue is beautifull too.

it figures I promised my husband that if he let me get one more sheltie that I would stop raising the guide dog pups and I would wait until the one I am currently raising goes back to pilot dogs (in august of 09) before I get a puppy. well their is a beautifull sable and white show prospect puppy for sale right now! he has a great head on him. nice muzzle, stop, and eyes. I soo want him badley, but a promise is a promise :rolleyes2: I know it would be better to wait anyways since sam the lab tends to play real rough and rips fur out of Belle, so that wouldnt be good for a puppy that we need to grow coat for showing  so I must be a good girl and wait patiently

I like Ginnie Mae! She looks a lot like my Rasha!! Beautiful!!!

Both are beautiful! You will have to go with the one that you feel is right for you. It will be a tough choice. My first sheltie, was a tri, so I love them dearly, and my current shelties are both blue merles. (Although, Maia looks like a tri or a bi-black more than a blue, so I figure I got the best of both worlds, hehehe) I had a choice of a tri or Chinook too. My family all were rooting for the tri, and he was gorgeous, but my gut told me to pick Chinook, so I did and I don't regret it.

They are both beautiful but my heart just melts at the photo of that little tri! He's so sweet.

If you decide you're taking one of them home you should try and bring Bacca with you to meet them and see if he connects more with one dog than the other. You may want to consider the pup because he's close in age to Bacca. At the same time, two that are close in age may go to the Rainbow Bridge closer together too.

The merle is so pretty, we're hoping our next one is a merle

LOL Barb, my husband did the same thing every time I talked about puppies. It's gotten so that when he sees me looking at pictures of other people's he says NO. :uhoh: He knows they're coming anyway and he loves them tons once they're here. :o How can anyone's heart not melt at a Sheltie???

They are both gorgeous but I'm with Shaun...I just love Ginnie Mae. But you will know which one is truly yours once you meet them. Trust your instincts! :wink2:

I am bringing Bacca with me to see how he interacts with each one.

I'm NOT bringing David though....he pouted all the way to the breeder when we visited Bacca the first time....and then he turned into the biggest suck with Bacca once I brought him home! Fortunately, David is still a weekend spouse only....when we finally decide to live in the same house together, he'll just have to accept ALL my baggage!

It will be a tough choice, I'm sure. Price is one factor....As Ginnie Mae is older, she's a whole lot less expensive - and already spayed. I love merles, but I must admit Indy is awfully sweet in the picture.....Ultimately, though, the decision will be based on how they bond - if at all.

Bad news is that they are calling for a snow storm on Sunday which means driving 1 hour out of town in nasty weather. But I'm afraid to wait....the breeder has other's interested, but she's holding off until I make a decision. Apparently, she's been talking to Bacca's breeder so I guess I passed the test!

Hi - I just went to look at your most recent pics! Zoe has an amazing coat! I don't think I've seen anything like it lately! You must have your hands full keeping the 3 of them looking so pretty!

Can't wait to hear how it goes, Barb. Nothing better than vicarious puppy excitement ! That little Indy is a "looker" in my book.
