Heat anxieties (mine)

I think with dogs it's less to do with the air temp than the ground temp since paws and belly are where they expel most heat from. The tile floor that your pooch rests on is probably several degrees cooler so he's probably fine. Have you considered shaving a patch on his stomach so that he can get even cooler when he lies down? It wouldn't affect the way the rest of his fur on his body looked and he would be more comfortable if heat is really that big an issue.
 
Fasb seems to be faring ok this summer. I'm too warm quite a bit of the time. Only real issue is the top floor (it's an old 3-story house), but in general the wife keeps the house too warm for me.

Question: in general, Fasb seems fine with the heat and humidity. Pants very little, drinks more water, but not an excessive amount, sleeps in the usual places, not seeking out the colder spots in the house, etc. So far as I can tell, he's fine. No changes in behavior or personality. He's not laying around like he's miserable.

Can I trust that? What other behaviors are there that I might be missing? I know him pretty well, so he seems ok, but I'm concerned he's getting uncomfortable and we don't realize it. Heat is a constant issue between the wife and I, and I'd feel better if I was more certain Fasb was handling it ok.
