I moved from Surrey, BC to Sioux Falls South Dakota a year and a half ago.
Where did you get your Sheltie from? There was only one breeder near that area when I lived there.
Welcome from the Nation's Capital!
Since I've joined this forum, I've made wonderful connections with fellow dog and Sheltie owners. We've also made many other connections and found many opportunities to laugh and to cry together.
A few memorable threads for me were:
1) The creation of the SUBU
2) The Sheltie party at my house while I was away on vacation....with all our pups sneaking off to have a bash while I was gone...I'm still looking for the black underwear!
3) And who could forget the "dingleberries" and "poop chutes"???

Welcome to our forum!!hello to all..I am happy to have found this forum.. although I have owned shelties in the past, (70s and 90s) the reason I joined this forum is my new sheltie, Belle. We bought her from her breeder at the beginning of October 2010, at the age of 12 months. She is the shyest sheltie I have ever owned. She never barks, and is very fearful of my husband as she is of all men, having been abused by a man who lived where she was bred and spent all her young life. I am so hopeful that I might find help for her here..

I got Belle from Miskela kennel.. Lois Greenlay.. she used to be on 184th and Fraser Highway but is now in Aldergrove. we got our last Sheltie from her in the early 90s. Lois doesn't advertise anymore, her sales are all from repeat customers or word of mouth.
