I actually had a little ear problem with him a while ago when his other ear started to go up. His breeder then glued it back down and later we also added a little weight on the other ear just to make sure it stays down. :biggrin2: Everything is removed now though. I'm hopeful the ears will stay that way...

Do your shelties have naturally tipped ears or have you had to do something to them?
 
Perry has naturally tipped ears which is great :winkgrin: As he was 5 months old one ear started to go up when he was excited or alert. It has something to do with the teeth changing apparently. After that Perry's ears got back to normal. But it's no always so - last week I glued the ears of my friend's Sheltie, it is 8 month old and I'm not really sure if it is helping at this age because the ears are actually standing upright :confused2:

Robin's breeder also told me about that teeth changing theory. I guess it's correct. :wink2: Just when I thought Robin's ears are doing fine... When I woke up this morning the first thing I saw was his ears, both had gone up. :rolleyes2: I put some weight on them. Sigh...

Welcome to the forum. Robin is a very handsome man.

I am finding that the european sheltie is different mostly in the head features. I am not that great at putting it into words but they is something different about the eye and the stop and thickness of the muzzle. I can see it more than describe it.:lol:

I have been told that my girl Ember has a very european look to her. Though I wouldn't pick her out as European.

I have 4 shelties that live with me and one that lives with his co owner(Jamie). They are 5 different colors.:smile2:

Justice is 10 yr mahagony sable

Ember is 7.5yrs Bi blue and Justice's niece from his littersister

Diva is Tri and Justice and Ember's cousin on her mom's side. She is also related to Jamie and Birch on her dad's side.

Jamie is 2 yr bi black

Birch is 11 month old Blue merle and Jamie's Nephew

There are lots of threads on sheltie colors but it basically breaks down to brown and black and the other colors are modifications of those base colors. If you have questions just let me know and I would be glad to answer them.:smile2:
