Hello from Ireland

I'm actually planning on trying to bring my pup to work as well but not so much space to work with so we'll see if it works out. Company I work with has a home office and a Pomeranian so they're just as excited to meet her as I am to bring her. Would be nice if the dogs got along but their current dog isn't socialized...and a bit crazy.

Welcome :biggrin2: I remember that excruciating wait very well.

My Sheltie has come to work with me every day since I brought her home over 2 years ago. Having your dog at work is the best! I never have to worry about what she's doing all day or if she's getting into trouble, because she's right here with me. Dogs at work are fairly common where I am. It's fun when several of the people in the business park take potty breaks outside at the same time and the dogs can play and visit a little.

Welcome! I do not envy the waiting you are doing right now.. we waited over a year until we found our boy and it was torture! Make sure you take (and post!) lots of photos. Puppyhood flies by!

I will have to try and get it going in our town with the whole dogs at work thing! My little one will have no-one to play with but me there, but just over the footbridge on the river at my workplace, there is a walkway for a park and we can pop down there at lunch and meet and greet the other doggies! Its like five/ten minutes walk from the office. Will wait til he has all his shots first for the park visits! There is currently a girl campaigning for a dog park in our town which would be great if it happened! Seems like this is the longest month!

Cmae that was a long wait! You must have been fit to bust when you finally got your pup!

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

Waiting is the hardest part! I had to wait over a year for Epic and I swear he was born just for me as there were only two in the litter and the other was a blue bitch! Hopefully your pup is 'waiting in the wings' too!

You remind me of me back in 1999, waiting to get my first sheltie. The day I picked him up was and still is the best day of my life. :biggrin2: I actually took him with me to work for a while, in the job I was doing at the time. It was a warehouse and he was in the staff room with his crate under the pool table! Great for socialisation :biggrin2:

Can't wait to see pictures!

Aw! That's such a cool name for your dog! I have a list of names drawn up but not going to choose anything til I see him.

So glad to meet you and share the euphoria of Shelties! (It no shame to be excited, We Irish are a passionate people says the Fellow Irish American :wink2:)

I am glad to see you want to learn all you can about your expectant bundle of fur covered joy. I have no doubts you will be the best sheltie parent!

What will you name your puppy?
