Hello Sumac,

I have never had a Sheltie before, actually. I grew up with labs all my life, so it was a big change from standard labs and lab mixes to a Sheltie! I think the main reason I took Winnie home was just how sweet she was. She was so playful and sweet and it was almost an instant attraction to her. Winnie had two sisters in the HS with her, and my close friend Jordan adopted one of them the same day. It's amazing to see them play together--they always seem to know each other!

I think bi-blacks are beautiful.. ah heck, who am I kidding. I think they are all awesome!

Shelties definately know their own. The very first puppy class we took last summer had another sheltie in it. Deja and this guy loved playing together. We didn't see him again until two weeks ago. Now both the other sheltie and Deja have had many classes and are well socialized and can walk through the training facility with 20 other dogs including other shelties without pulling or jumping or anything.. The moment they saw eachother all decorum was gone!! They lunged, danced, barked and basiclly played like they were 12 week old puppies again.
 
How neat that you had a freind adopt a sibling now you can have play dates and pupsit for each other. What did Jordan name the other pup? We would love to see more pictures, she sure is cute.

Welcome to the forum. I grew up with Labs too. My parents and my brother still have Labs. My dog Justice was my first sheltie and from now on I will always have a sheltie. They are the best.:smile2:
