Hello from St. Louis, Missouri

Why his name

I named him Boo because after I found him, my son, myself & Boo were riding back to St. Louis and I was trying to think of a different kind of name....all of a sudden iI looked at my son and said, " Me and you and a dog named Boo, " a song from the late 60's...by Lobo. Maybe some of you remember it> if not, then nobaody on here is as old as I am...:smile2:

I looked though and could not find my hello, so I thought I should say "Hi." I found Boo running in a field in Arkansas about 2 1/2 years ago..no collar, no chip, so I brought him home. They think he was about 12 weeks old at the time. I am a partially disabled veteran and he has learned to help me in so many ways....without him, I would be lost. I love all animals, but there is nothing like a Sheltie..so "hi" to all you Sheltie lovers.:smile2:

Hi Boo's Dad... welcome to the board.
Here is my story ... I have 5.5 years old sheltie Cassie. I am a sheltie-holic myself. Like you I love all the dogs, but shelties takes a special place in my heart. Cassie is extremely affectionate, so loyal and so incredibly funny. Cassie is our 2nd sheltie. The first one, Candy died of spleen cancer when she was 10. :( It did not take us a long time to get another dog. The house seemed too empty without our "baby". In a couple weeks we drove back to the same breeder and got another dog. Candy and Cassie are remotely related.

Welcome again. I hope you enjoy it here.

Oh I remember it. You're not the only one up there. :smile2:

Glad to have you and Boo join us on the forums! St. Louis is a place I got to know a couple of years ago, and I really liked it. Missourians seem really nice.

I definitely remember that song!

Congratulations on having a wonderful Sheltie companion in your life.

Welcome to the forums! It's good to hear your sheltie experience. :) Shelties definitely have a sixth sense of our needs and feelings. Bless them all! <3

Welcome to Sheltie Nation -- how did I miss your post? Especially since I remember the song, too! :biggrin2:

You know, I think God just dropped that Sheltie puppy Bo right where He knew you'd find him. He know how much you needed Boo. :wink2:
