14 yrs is great, I'm assuming he is a sable with a name like Rusty. :smile2: I have half the sheltie rainbow(a sable,bi blue and tri) myself.

Yes, I downgraded to a golden. lol Actually, our first dog was a shephard cross named Penny and when we lost her to cancer, it took a long time for us to get another dog. We always had one big dog and one smaller, so we went with a golden. Goldens are not easy puppies to raise!!! lol

Rusty is indeed sable coloured. A real sweetie, but I am biased of course. :biggrin2: And he really isn't a little dog as he's definitely not standard sized.

Welcome from our crew here too ;-).

We used to have a Golden. They are my 2nd favorite breed. If they were just sheltie sized!! lol...they'd be right in there with my obvious favorite 1st breed. Yup...I remember how destructive those large breed puppies can be..haha... They make up for it in love though.

I love alot of large breeds too. But 30 or so pounds is my upper limit these days otherwise there would be a Dobe or a Rott here as well.:smile2:
