Help for Ukraine Pets

I know this isn't something we normally do here, but this is not a normal situation. There are roughly 700 to 800 pets crossing the Ukraine border to Poland every 48 hours, with and without owners. Some are being surrendered for foster, others will stay with their owners but are cared for by organizations like Paws of War temporarily. Food, supplies and vet care are all being provided by Paws, a New York-based organization that helps military families and their pets. Paws is in desperate need of financial help to keep supplies coming. This is a news story about their work, and one to donate for anyone who would like to help. Any donation, no matter how small, will help. The Ukranian people clearly share our devotion and love for their pets. May they all be reunited and at peace soon.

Thank-you for posting this Ann. The entire situation in Ukraine, both for the people and the pets, is totally heartbreaking.

My friend in Kiev posted this afternoon desperately looking for someone to help get a family with three small children and three Shelties out of Chernihiv. She said no one wants to take dogs anymore. So heartbreaking!

 :(

The agony.... wanting to help from afar. Everyone is overwhelmed with sheer numbers. I pray this family and their dogs finds someone to help them relocate somewhere safer. :fl
