Help with Mia?

Mia's potty training has not been so great. We take her out constantly. She goes after she sleeps, eats, drinks, plays, before we leave, when we come home and etc..... But she has at least two accidents a day in the house. Then tonight I after I took her out I put her in the kennel and one minute later she pooped in it. She has never had an accident in there. I feel a bit lost and not really sure what the problem could be. She recently had her check up and all was good. Tomorrow she will be eleven weeks. My last dog we had was a mixed fixed male and he had to wear a male diaper because he would still raise and mark. I really hope she picks it up.
The next problem I am having is when I am holding her she like to give me kisses but when I go to kiss her she will curl her lips and growl at me. I don't like this at all and already my husband is freaking out about this. She also likes to throw her body over my Mother-In-laws eleven year old Cocker and she will back up and raise her back leg and put it on her head. We think these are signs of dominance. She is great with people and other animals when we are out. She goes everywhere with us and to the park. Next Sunday we will be going to a local pet store because from noon to one they have free social classes and this they do every Sunday. She also starts puppy classes on the 11th. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks and sorry this is so long.

Are you going out with her and making sure she does both jobs before coming back in? If not, I would put a leash and her and go out with her and praise her like crazy when she goes outside.

The throwing her body at the older and leg thing is puppy. The older dog will teach her manners.

She might not be reading your intentions right when you go to kiss her. In dogs face to face especially if you are smiling(showing teeth) can be imitidating for small puppies. If she is insercue, she might be telling you to back off. She could also be playing but I would need to see the behavior to know for sure. For now, keep her away from your face and smile and interact with her alot. Ember used to do that to me as a small puppy turned out she was not comfortable with me getting in her face. Just go slow and get her used to you coming close.

We do go out with her everytime an praise. I will back off from her face. The Cocker has gotten tude with her but everyone freaks out and I keep trying to explain to them that she is just putting her in her place.

Sounds like you are doing everything right as housetraining goes. Main thing is make sure she goes both outside and then watch watch watch. At 11 weeks , she just might be taking alittle longer. We have one puppy now Ralph who didn't start to figure out potty training until about 13 weeks , he would go in the kennel too. His brothers crate trained and also almost potty trained by 9 weeks. Ralph was just slow at catching on.

I am thinking of the doing a method where she will be attached to a lead with us till she is trained. What do you guys think of this?

Are you free feeding or feeding at specific times? I don't allow my puppies to go into rooms I am not in and that are not easily cleaned until they are really good at house cleanliness. How big is your crate? If it is too big for her right now then she might decide to use it as a toilet since she will be able to get away from her excretement.
When there is an accident, what are you doing for cleaning it up? I wash the area with soap and water and then apply a vinegar/water solution and clean that up to irradicate the scent. Until Tinsel was trained I just kept a spray bottle of vinegar and water on the counter for just this purpose. I really am surprised that he trained since he lived in a cage for a few years, peeing and pooping where he slept. It takes a lot of observation and routine but you will get there if you persevere.

She gets fed at the same times every day and she is not allowed into a room without us. We have gates everywhere to keep her in the areas with us but even with that she has had her accidents so now she is on a lead 99% of the time with us. As for cleaning up there is a product called liquid alive that I buy from our local vac store. It is a liquid bacteria that eliminates stainds and odors. I have used it for years for my cats when they have hairballs or get sick somewhere. I even use it on my furniture if something is spilled. Recently barbecue sauce ws knocked on the recliner and all I have to do is put some on and let it sit for a few minutes. After that I use my little green machine and suck it up. So far now in two days we have only had one poo accident. Her crate is big enough for when she is fully grown but it has a divider in it.
