Here we go again... Allergies...

Update:
Since Liam's bath on Sunday, I have kept him off the grass and away from the trees. He has not scratched his body or knawed at his feet since!
I am really thinking those trees are the reason for Liam's allergy issues. I feel bad having to restrict him from the yard because he loves to play frisbee.
However, it is for his own good! Trees may be coming down soon. Not heard from the arborist yet.

It sounds like if it isn't the trees, it's something in the grass which could certainly cause an allergy. You're definitely on to something. I'm glad he's doing better now though!

Yes, I do think it is the trees as the infected leaves fall all over the grass and the spores deposit there. That’s my suspicion...

You could call either of those companies for information. If there products would address, pump sprayers are cheap. I've used safe products from both those companies. If you do cut down, maybe you could plant something there that may not have issues. And you might be able to sell the applewood to someone. It is awesome for use in a smoker....

Unfortunately, those trees are over 20 ft tall now and even the professional company that was treating them said they are getting too big to treat with their equipment. They have an industrial powered sprayer that pumps from their truck!
So, don’t think a pump sprayer would have much of an impact. Good to know the wood is good for smokers! I was thinking the same thing. I have a Kwansan tree on the opposite side of the yard that never has a problem. Will most likely replace with those. 5325249B-2D0A-4EDF-9144-AD17BE0AAA2A.jpeg

Is that the Kwansan? Stunning in bloom! Don't think I have heard of them!

We got rid of a drop dead gorgeous nectarine tree last year. In our classes one night, trainer went over poisonous things - apparently the pits have arsenic in them or something similar to arsenic. We never got a nectarine off the tree because the squirrels and raccoons ate all the fruit, tossed the pits everywhere. I think hubby cut it down that weekend!

OMG!
That is downright terrifying!
My issue is a nuisance... not deadly! Thank goodness for that trainer! Thanks for posting to warn others!

Yes, the blooms are just stunning too!

Beautiful tree Gloria! Unfortunately our climate is so different, don't think that'd grow here...makes me jealous lol!
