    I was going to name him Vinnie originally but the breeder took offence to me calling him that...she said 'you know the #1 Sheltie in Canada is named Vinnie' in other words I shouldn't use it. Then someone in the local Sheltie group also called their pup Finnie and that irked me:ROFLMAO: (but I'm ok with you calling your boy Finn). This lady we see each other at shows and meetings and I may yet do conformation when he's older so it could cause confusion.
    I think I should just start calling him Vinnie lol, I much prefer that name and it's not like I have to change his CKC name (that's The Finishing Touch), it's just his call name.
    It's funny, but until I named him Finnie I didn't realize how popular a dog name it is! Lots of Shelties named Finnie!

    I asked my husband if he like Finnie, he came up with Finn, we agreed on that. Then I felt guilty because you have a Finnie, lol! Imitation is the highest form of flattery you know!

    Your so right!
    Plus it can be so hard to pick a name you shouldn't avoid a name just because someone else named their dog that. That's why I shoulda stuck with Vinnie...I liked it and thats all that mattered!

    Since we live on Cape Cod, Sandstorm is a good, fitting name. And now that we have an abundance of sharks, Finn is s good name too! I would still like a Minnie

    I like Finnie too but had wanted to name him Vinnie...was my first choice. But Finnie is a good second choice lol.
