Hi Everyone,

That's so funny, Jocu plays like a cat!
yeah- he did that as a puppy too.....
it's pretty funny to see him pause and look at one of the others.... although he didn't seem all that happy about it when Destin took the chew and laid down with it to chew it:winkgrin:

I've been buying the Zuke's puppy treats and then cutting them in half. Treats are expensive - there is a recent thread here with instructions and recipes on making your own. I am trying one recipe this week - tuna fudge!

I was using regular puppy food for treats with potty training but there wasn't anything really special about them. When I switched to using the actual treats for treats, it was a bigger deal to get the treat after going potty. I had bought Wellness soft bites and tore them in fourths, but they are fairly rich. Brodie can handle them now as special treats, but when I started using them as potty treats, they gave him loose stools. Too much of a good thing. Hence we now reserve the Wellness for really special times like when the vet comes to visit.

My Nosework instructor turned us onto Happy Howies treats. They are a meat roll. I slice it up, then cut the slices into small cubes. It is not greasy at all, the dogs go NUTS for them, and they don't have tummy troubles. Very limited ingredients. I freeze little baggies of them and take them out when I need them. We use the Lamb although it comes in other meats as well. I think you can get them online - I buy mine from my instructor. They are much cheaper than packaged treats.
