Hi from British Columbia

Drake is a bit sad this morning.....

It's our final day at the only home he has ever known and soon we start a new adventure in West Kelowna, BC.

He watched his bed and all his toys get loaded into the car this morning and I'm sure he was puzzled as to why,.... The look on his face made me cry :( .... So we just sat on the floor of the garage for a while so he could get cuddles.

He has new adventures on the boat and a new neighborhood to get familiar with to look forward to though,..... He'll be fine once we are settled in and he has worked out where "his spots" are in the new house.

:)

They totally pick up on our emotions, too. I'm sure he will miss his awesome snow play area, but as long as he is with you, he will be happy, because that's how Shelties are! Keep us posted on his new adventures and best wishes to you in your new home.

Hi everyone,

Finally got some time to take a breath...….

We are all settled in and Drake is now well accustomed to his new home in Westbank BC (Kelowna)

He has all his new "spots" picked for guard duty, snoozing, and most other duties.

Oh hot days he's discovered where the air con vents are.... There is a floor vent in there somewhere.....

Part of the process of doing the move involved buying a boat,..... So Drake had to be outfitted accordingly,.... He was not too impressed....

We carry the jacket on the boat but we don't make him wear it all the time.... He just loves being out on the boat.

He like the wind in his hair too..... He started out behind my seat but as we got quicker, he came between us & poked his snout into the wind....

The new playground,..... If you can't have snow, you at least should have water.... ;)

Nice to see Drake enjoying his "new" life - think to be a dog with you - is certainly not boring:wink2:

absolutely wonderful pictures thank you for sharing

Thanks !

Drake likes his new "hood" and home we think and we love him dearly. Although I know he will be looking forward to winter and some snow to play in even if it's not as much as he's used to.

He has won over all the neighbours and our neighbour on one side has bought some cookies for him, so when we go outside and her door is open, Drake goes over, sits on the door mat & barks to let her know he's waiting patiently for a cookie,..... Too funny.

We have had him certified as a service dog too so in Feb next year when we go to Mexico for a few weeks, he will come with us in the cabin. We bought business class seats so he has space on the floor between us. We think he will love running on the beach and exploring.

This is 5 minutes walk away from my wife's brothers place near Cabo.

Seems like your new digs are agreeing with Drake! Beautiful photos, and that dog has a life to envy. Nice that you can take him to Cabo, as well. Thanks for updating us, your photos are something I really look forward to!!
