Hi from Chicago

She knows all the basic things and some fun stuff like high five etc etc, should I look for a more advanced class or you think the basic puppy class is still worth taking? Also, I am not sure if it is just her or all shelties but she is a very fast learner (as long as there is cheese during training)! :)
shelties are still a working breed and like structure and rules, really enjoy having work to do, so they usually excel in obedience, agility and other classes. Even if you not interested in competing, it is still great idea to start with some classes. If you live close to North side Chicago Dennis Damon and Wendy De Carlo are great teachers for beginners, with lots of positive and clicker training.
regarding being shy- try going outside to the street corner and ask strangers if they will give your pup some kibble or cheese for that matter, usually there is plenty of people who like pretty puppy so there is plenty of oppportunities, the more your pup socialized the better your life will be...
