Honey is at peace

I am so sorry for your loss. It brings tears to my eyes knowing what you have went through today. I know it was very hard to come to that decision but just know Honey is happy and healthy again!! I can only hope...that if we ever have to face that decision with Dakota...I can find the strength and understanding that you have shown. You and your family will be in my prayers. Thank you for sharing Honeys journey with us. I know Honey was blessed throughout her whole life because she was blessed with two wonderful parents who loved and adored her. God Bless you and your family.

Thanks Becky for your kind words. We hope and pray Dakota will beat his disease and stay with your family for a long time. But if not, please use our support to provide you strength just as you have done for us. Please be well.

I am so sorry. We all know what you are going through. Time does not make it any easier either. I have lost 8 of my babies in 5 year goes by that I do not mourn their passing. Each one of mine has brought such amazing love into my home. In 2 weeks (Rachie) the love of my life will be gone 3 years. I have been going out to her rose bush I planted when she left us. I have constant reminders of all my babies year round looking at their roses.

Time will make it a bit easier to only remember the happy days with her. You take care and rememer Honey is now watching over ou and will always be there watching over you

I'm so sorry that you are going through this. It is a very difficult thing to do but Honey is happy and healthy at the bridge with my Zoe and all of the others that are waiting for us to get there. It will get easier with time to remeber all of the great things about Honey with out crying. She knows that you love her and wanted only the best for her. I'm sure that she is watching over you both. Hugs!

What a beautiful tribute! I was in your shoes three years ago with my sheltie! I will pray for you during this time. Know that you are in our thoughts...

On a beautiful, crisp, sunny Wednesday afternoon, Honey has left us to journey to Rainbow Bridge.

Never more will we hear "She's so cute!", or "She's a beautiful dog", or "She's so gorgeous!"

Never more will we see her loving, excited face to greet us at the door when we come home.

Never more will we see her barking excitedly at the moving construction cranes, garage doors moving up/down, car gates going up/down.

we will miss our walks together.

All we have now are photographs and memories.

We miss her so much, but we know it was for the best.

Thank you all for your support and looking out for us during our time of crisis. It really comforted us during our time of need.

Ready or not Rainbow Bridge, HERE COMES HONEY!

I understand how you feel, those are the thoughts that will go through your mind forever but that only goes to prove how much you loved Honey and how much she loved you.

We have lost too many furkids, 2 in the last year and the hurt and the pain diminishes over time but the love for them and what you had doesn't.

You can see our furkids past an present in the below link. They have made such a difference in our lives that "the dance was worth the pain".

My deepest sympathies. I hope this poem brings some comfort to you. It was sent to me last year when I had to make the same decision...

If It Should Be

If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep
Then you must do what must be done
For this, the last battle can't be won

You will be sad - I understand
Don't let your grief stay your hand
For this day, more than all the rest
Your love and friendship stand the test

We've had so many happy years
What is to come can hold no fears
You'd not want me to suffer so
When the time comes, please let me go

Take me where my needs they'll tend
Only, stay with me until the end
And hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see

I know in time, you too will see
It is kindness you do for me
Although my tail, its last has waved
From pain and suffering I have been saved

Don't grieve that it should be you
Who must decide this thing to do
We've been so close, through all these years
Don't let your heart hold any tears

Goodbye Honey, we miss you.

Oh, you just had to post this...now I'm crying all over again!
