I never knew they had dog shows on Fridays sometimes until yesterday.
Did you show her just the one day or are you doing it the whole weekend?
Sometimes there are blocks of shows that run from Thursday through Sunday. That's mostly when clubs combine and pool their resources in the hope (I think) that multiple shows will pull in more entries. Since most exhibitors choose their shows according to who is judging, that's a big part of it.
This show was Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I opted to enter Friday because I wanted my first show to be a bit more quiet than on the weekend with lots of spectators. I did show today too (and Checkers won her class) but won't show tomorrow. I'm glad I went for two days instead of three...the laundry and tumbleweeds in the house are screaming at me! And Checkers wants to return to life as a couch potato...

Yeah. I don't know if it's just where we live or not, but on Sunday I was kind of annoyed. It was like by noon the attitude was, "Ok, everything's over! Let's shut her down!".
All the vendors were shutting down way early, people who weren't going on compete further up were moving their huge vans and mobile homes, ect. It was chaos!

I'm just catching up on the Forum after coming home from a weekend of helping missjenneygirl at the shows - I can attest that Ann and Checkers' performance was excellent!
Way to go, Ann, and congratulations again - I know you've worked hard towards the goal of getting in the ring, and it's great to see you achieve it. Thanks for taking such good care of our Checkers, too.
