You're post should read....Sca does not get OFF the bed anymore!
This morning I got up and as usual put Figaro and Emma outside, then woke up Indy and ushered him to the door and outside. Sasha and Newton, as usual, stayed in the bed with Alan while I am getting ready for work. When I came back into the bedroom Newton was sleeping on my pillow, Alan was on his side of the bed facing the wall with Sasha curled up behind his knees. I went around to Alan's side of the bed and said "OK honey give me a kiss goodbye I have to go to work" and Newton LEAPT across the bed, landing on Alan's belly and chest and intercepted the kiss. Then Newton rolled onto his back and waved his little paws in the air. What a devil! And Alan is wheezing and saying "how much does Newton weigh now?!!" Meanwhile Newton is just wallowing on his back PURRING and waving his little paws in the air REVELING in stealing a kiss!

Awww.. Newton you're so cute. Go a little easier on Daddy's belly next time even though you seem to think it's a puppy trampoline

How big is your bed? We find it cramped with our 2, 5 month old boys in a queen sized bed. We bought a couple of dog beds at Costco a few weeks ago and the boys love their new beds and aren't interested in our bed anymore. And, our bed is to high for most dogs to jump up on, heck I have trouble sometimes climbing in...

Thats hilarious janet, what a cutey! He has certainly turned into a confident little guy and loving being in the middle of everyone. It is truly amazing to see how much he has changed and blossomed!

We have a king sized bed. It still is a tight squeeze at times if 4 shelties decide to join us for the night (and they frequently do). The only sheltie that won't get on the bed is Indy. He does not get up on any furniture as I trained him not to as a young pup. Alan had a hand in the training of our other shelties and he is all for shelties on the couch, on the bed, etc.

Yep the battle has been joined and so far it is a draw. Sca used to be good and stayed off the bed. Lately though he will jump up and kind of look like "I CAN get up surely I can stay" Of course I then boot him off. A few nights ago it was up and down about 5 times before he gave up. Then last night he jumps up and I tell him off.... he wanders over to his kennel roof and fakes going that way.... then wanders back..... I kind of guide him toward the edge..... he veers off angle..... PLOP down he goes against the pillows and he does a priceless "this is comfy Sca could get used to this" look. Of course I booted him off after laughing at him. Of course he did not help his cause the day he ate a hole in my pillowcase
Raise the bed. We have a bed frame with drawers under it. Must be close to 4 feet off the floor. I know it sounds tall, but it does keep the kids on their own bed!
