One of our foster dads brought Pogo over so I could introduce him to a prospective family. He was very sad at having to turn Pogo over to me and really had gotten attached to him. Pogo was his first foster dog. But ths is what fostering is all about, you love them, care for them, teach them what they need to know and let them go.....
To ease the pain I introduced him to little Tara and he melted right then and there. He brought Pogo over at 8:30 and the adoption was scheduled for 11 AM. He called me at two from work and asked if Pogo was adopted and I told him he was. At that time he was happy for Pogo. We spoke for a short time and he had to go. It took exactly one hour for him to make up his mind.. He called back and said not to list little Tara that he would adopt her! So little Tara has her forever home with a wonderful family. She will stay with me until her vet visits and puppy shots are complete and then she will be spayed and ready to go on June 22.
My vet also told me that she is not 20 weeks of age! Her milk teeth have not begun to loosen so she can't be much more than 13-14 weeks of age.
So happy news at The Rescue Squad First Pogo and then Tara!
