Indy is FREE!!!

I'm glad to hear Indy is finally getting to go home. Honestly, I think it's probably best that he's been neutered. Yes, the breeder could have used him to breed, but let's be real, isn't this about the dog and him going home and NOT about the breeding? Considering all his issues, it's probably for the best anyways. Poor little guy.

I'm just glad he's finally out and in a home until he can get transported to Elizabeth.

Dawn, you're Indy's guardian angel. You deserve wings for sure!
 
Awww, Cheryl you're so sweet! I didn't do anything that anyone on this sheltie loving board wouldn't have done. Elizabeth did the hard work. Provided me with all the necessary paperwork and made my job of getting Indy out a breeze! I just happen to live 15 minutes away from the shelter and was happy I could help!
 
How is Indy doing? Did he get any of the kennel ills Southland is fighting? It's so hard when isolated for so long and also having a compromised immune system from poor care.
 
I checked in with Elizabeth a couple of days ago. He's still in So Cal, but doing well. They are trying to get arrangements made to get him home. Diane, the OC breeder, thinks it will be good for him to hang with her and her pack for a couple of weeks to get over some of the trauma from the whole experience. Then on to Virginia!! Elizabeth and Diane co-own another dog, so they will work well together!
 
I got another update from Elizabeth last night. Indy is going to the vet today to get checked out. He still has a bit of a runny nose. They have to get a health certificate in order to fly him home. So as soon as that can be accomplished he'll be on his way to Virginia!!
