Introducing Cruz!

Well, we have had the little gaffer for almost 3 days now, and he has made himself right at home! He is getting the general idea of potty training and whines by the door when he needs to go out - 3 accidents on day 1, 2 accidents on day 2, and 1 yesterday (hoping for none today!). He is a natural retriever, learning fetch on his first day with us... and now he won't stop! The little bugger will bring endless toys to your feet until you throw one for him :lol:. He is also a very smart pup, and already has a solid come and sit when there are no distractions (he will do ANYTHING for a PureBites Cheese treat).

We are working on socialization and getting him used to seeing new things. While smart, he is very timid outside of home. He LOVES meeting new people, but spooks easily at loud noises like big trucks driving by. It's slowly getting better as he hears more and more while out pottying, but we have a long way to go. We've done two carry throughs in pet stores and home depot, and he does well as long as it's decently quiet. Lots more treats and exposure and I'm sure he'll come out of his shell :fl

What a beauty! It will be great to see what he looks like all grown up. I'm also partial to the bi blacks but this guy has an amazing coat. My Odin was big and fluffy but cruz has him beat! Of course now all that puppy undercoat is falling out and at 17 weeks he's looking like a coyote already haha.

Thanks Jeff! He is our furry monster.. I'm sure half his body weight is coat! Odin is beautiful, even in his awkward puberty stage :lol: Cruz will be there before we know it.. they grow up so fast!
