I always like to get the pup and a feel for personality. Sca was going to have a whirlwind type name which would not have fit him since he is fairly laid back for a Sheltie pup (yes he still runs and plays though). Give her a couple of days and I bet things click in place.

she was born at my house so I have a pretty good idea of her personalityI am just bad at names!
mine are always related to the dog. Dow was named after Dow Chemical for being a toxic waste dump (long story) and Sca is Scathan Coimhead for his love of himself in mirrors. You already have the nickname though so why not just Trinity?

Just have it be Trinity as registration also, pretty cool name and doesn't need extra

What a little fuzz ball!
We had a name picked for our puppy b4 we had him. We had only seen a pic of him. I wanted his name to be Skippy Jon Jones who is the title character in a wonderful childrens book. He is adventureous, curious and spunky. I kept saying the name to my husband in the car on the way to get him. Larry wasn't for sure. Skippy, I mean isn't that a great name???
I DID NOT want his name to be Buddy, not even for anyone to just call him that even once.
Kris our 12 year old had told me 2 days before that she prayed and his name was Judah. Judah means the Lord heard me in my sorrow and now I will praise the Lord. We actually were primarily getting this puppy for her as she is only 12 but had recently been diagnosed with clinical depression. SHe needed a furry buddy. The Cats just were to persnickity.
ANYWAY, we get to the breeder and there he is. But he does not have a smidge of white on his little Sable Merle face. He did not look adventurous, curious or spunky. HE was a gentlman, distinguished and scholarly looking. He
was NOT Skippy.
It took us a week and we finally decided that his name was indeed Judah. The breeder called him Arrow because of his marking on his shoulder. Redemptions Arrow Judah.
all of that to say. Take your time.
