Well, we could have a sub-category of best of "ungroomed" shelties????
Uhh...I don't think Trapp would like to miss his nightly brushing.It would kill me not to relax & have my quiet moment with him.
AND NOT TO DO FEET.....I could not stand it.Sheltie paws,are just the cutest when they are all groomed.
Now I can certainly post pictures of Mia,as she does not get her feet done nearly as much,and at the moment she has some pretty serious dust mops growing.

OH that would be fun. I could let Ember grow out. Her feet and ear hair grows quite fast so I would have quite alot to work with in about a month. Too bad she is seriously out of coat. Winter poofiness won't be here for many months.
I am not a groomer, I only brush, Rachel usually trims her. So it would be quite challenging. I know I have that grooming book around here somewhere. Were to find it?

Bentley has some serious grinch feet right now. I normally am on top of it, but after his surgery I felt bad and didn't want to subject him to the whole grooming process. Now to see how long I can hold out...it drives me crazy!

Well, I was thinking about this some more.
Most of us do grooming in stages. That is, one week I will tackle feet and nails; the next ears; and the next dealing with Sheltie pants. I rarely to a complete end to end grooming in one shot. Last week I did ears and toes, so it'll be a couple of weeks before I'm ready to do before and after's again. But Sheltie pants are on the agenda this weekend!
So, my suggestion, for all of groomer enthusaists and wannabes, is this: Over the next few weeks (months?), take before and after shots of each part that you groom and build a "portfolio" of various body shots. And the most important part is: How you did it!
And now I'm looking to our faithful moderators to determine how we can build a thread around this topic alone without overloading the forum. Perhaps create a group on a photo site? And post the links here? By body part category?
Somewhere along the line, I think we can vote, but I'm more interested in the learning experience.
I truly think this could be a good thread that will go long-term and can be built upon.

Yes we could! I love the way Sandstorm looks after a good brushing- after the last one he never looked so good!! But the feet fur and the ear fur are there to stay!
I must say though, if this is a grooming contest I'm in trouble. I only brush- I do wash feet, does that count?

I love grinch feet! I should take a picture of Sandstorms feet from the back- he looks like he has little fur umbrellas over his feet. We could have a grinch feet picture contest, therefore I would win it.
