Dixie and Jocu were entered in an agility trial Fri, Sat and Sun.
Dixie was in Exc Std and Exc Jww. Jocu was just in Open Jww.
Dixie Qd in jww Fri and Sat so she's in Masters now.....
Sun jww blew it at jump 2....

Her std runs- we didn't do so well so she's still in excellent there.
Fri std- blew the opening and skipped half the course.
Sat std- blew the weaves and not sure why she jumped off the teeter.
Sun std -she hit the weave pole so I restarted her.

Jocu had weave issues on Friday, had a great run on Sat and had some focus issues on Sun.

That's a REALLY loud and shaky teeter. Is it possible that it scared her the first day, and now she doesn't want to be on it when it hits the ground?

maybe if it was the first time that she'd ever been on that teeter....
she's trialed on it before and been on it at matches...

she also flew off the teeter at the last trial before the holidays- she never even let it move at all before she ran off the end.... can't remember if I ever uploaded those vids...

Well done Dixie! That was a fab run to earn her the Masters title, she really just bounced so happily around!

The tunnels under the dogwalk seemed to confuse her, they confuse Merlin. He doesn't mind if they are at the end, but at a start he can't get his head around them. Has Dixie done those sorts of tunnel/obstacle arrangements much?

As for the teeter - well Merlin has started doing the same! He barely makes the contact on aluminum seesaws anymore! I think it is because they are so light, that he can tip them without reaching the contact. I am having to work on making sure he runs completely down. You were also quite close and bending over her when she jumped it, maybe try standing up and still to encourage the contact?

Jocu is coming on so well, much improved bless him. Aside from a muddle in the weaves his Friday run was lovely, and Sat was ace. On Sunday he just spotted the person in the chair and clearly didn't understand why they were there!

I do love how both your dogs bounce so happily about the course, they are clearly ecstatic to be there and that is so nice to see:yes:

we've worked on the tunnel/dogwalk thing- I was concerned because she was supposed to take the dogwalk and her preference is the tunnel. I tried to set her up so she was facing away from the tunnel but she saw it anyhow.. when I called her she did come away from it- we just didn't get the dogwalk completely...

I actually recently got an aluminum teeter so all four dogs can get better at it - we just haven't had much chance to work with it- weather:gaah

and we need to work our weaves a little more often with all the dogs- but again weather:gaah

Jocu in one of his novice runs in October went to visit the bar setter but came back when I called him- that should be in our October AKC thread. I did almost laugh when he just stopped and stared at the bar setter but I also couldn't believe that he just stopped....
oh well, his first AKC trial was last Feb so by my standards, we're doing great:yes:

for bounciness, wait until you see Destin....:pop

Congratulations! Agility is a whole new language for us, we are struggling along and so in awe of anyone in Excellent!!!

we still have communication issues. I still consider myself pretty new as Dix and Cran are the first dogs that I have really done anything with in the way of performance. I got an RN on Callie but she did most of the stuff already- we really only had to work on her stays. and she never liked off leash stuff or jumping.

you should check some of our other threads so you can catch up with Jocu- in Open jumpers in less than a year. I'm sure that's a record for my puppers:yes:
