Julius K9 harness - Label inspiration help!

I finally thought of what I am going to have on mine. I thought about it a long time.

For Birch, I got his name and I got 2 labels that I can switch out/ one says "Got Q? "and the other "Eat, sleep, agility" because that is Birch.

For Diva, I got her name Diva, the other side is "All about me".

For Kyara maybe one side say Princess or Princess Kyara and the other "Look but don't touch". That way it seems you are being funny but not scaring people.

yep, love it
Princess Kyara
look--don't touch
lol
Ashley is so right with what personality you want to highlight!

When I get mine for Spruce it'd be Spruce it up--how'd that happen?
He's so clueless and goofy but sweet and bounces back from anything...
and For Toffee it'd be Mr. Toffee--Count on me (Cuz he's my sweet (to me), reliable, predictable, sensitive, sensible sable)

Sheepofblue - I guess the Gangster one really represents Spitfire well as he went all gangster and decided not to run in his Julius !

Randi - Did you order the custom patch from a different vendor than you ordered the harness itself?

Ashley - Thanks for sharing how you picked your dog's patches :smile2:. It's given me good ideas!

Dr. Shelli - I love the ''look but don't touch'' idea!

Toffee's mom - Mr Toffee the sweet gentleman :smile2:. Do you know where you will be ordering from? Just realized the Julius website doesn't ship them to Canada :gaah. Other vendors are asking for crazy prices. Right now I'm thinking I will simply order it from cleanrun (they have free shipping on it, yeyyy!) but I will need to order my custom patches from somewhere else since they don't have that option.

I discussed the patches ideas you shared here with my BF and here's what we are pretty much settled on:

- Kyara
- Her Majesty (reflects her attitude and, just like Jess041 mentioned, how the common person should not be aloud to approach a queen directly hehe)
- Look but don't touch (For when I am walking her and training or if I know we will be someplace really crowded - BF was pushing for Can't touch this  I might think about it since I may order the patches separately)

I guess getting the harness before ordering the patches will give me a good idea of how much wording I can fit on it so that it is readable.

I think Clean Run is the cheapest option because of the free shipping. I ordered mine from k9harness.com. It was only about $5 more than clean run, but they had a LED patch that I wanted. I would've had to pay the same amount in shipping just for the patch, so it made sense to get it all at the same place.

I did order the custom patch from the same place. I think I've decided to get another patch that says "Crazy Beautiful." I think that pretty much describes my dog  or maybe "Eat Play Agility"

Frankly I would go with Dog in Training. I have a dog trainer who uses my store sometimes to socialize dogs. And this is what she uses.

99% of people will get that.

Some of the cute ideas (eg look but don't touch) just seems like it would put people off the breed. I don't think we want to promote "princess" as an attribute of the breed.

Barb, I have to disagree. I don't think someone putting "princess" on a harness for their dog would cause any sort of negative association to Shelties, or any breed for that matter. You could name a small dog "killer" and I still wouldn't think, all (breed) of dogs are aggressive! If I saw Kyara on the street wearing a harness that said "Princess", I would assume it is a very well taken care of dog who is used to getting her way and a bit spoiled, but not in a bad way. I will admit my dog is totally spoiled! :wink2:

I agree--think that would be so cute! I see a lot of ones that say "Diva" and things like that. Always makes me smile.

Barb, I'm curious, why do you thing 'princess' would give the shelties a bad name or put someone off the breed? I don't understand it seems very innocent to me.:confused2:
