Just do not understand... absolutely stumped!

I imagine some of Baron's trouble is not just the attention going to Liam, but also the change in your routine with you working more. I know how much my gang likes their routine! You mentioned Baron was anxious when you first got him, so he may tend to get upset at changes more than the others.

Bummer about the wood crate! Eli has a metal one but he has destroyed several beds/crate mats - I think out of boredom, since he wakes up at the crack of dawn and we don't always get up that early. It's pretty frustrating. Right now he has only a thick bath mat towel for a bed cushion.

I'm so fortunate that I don't have to crate my guys when I go out! I can't imagine having all those crates in my small house! There'd be no room for furniture lol.

Hence the wood crate that acts like an end table!
It is so weird with Laddie, Mr. Chance, and Logan they never were jealous types. Even when my sister's sheltie Jasmine was over everyone was content just to be together.

It is so strange that as soon as I put him in I was thinking, I hope I don't regret his! AT least you can't tell from the outside it is damaged...

Gosh, they were only alone for 4 hours... what would have happened had I been gone all day.

Never thought of the correlation between working so much having an effect on them as I work from home. That said, their routine has changed.

Haha...I learned my lesson too! When I got Piper he destroyed an expensive dog bed...after that he got a cheapie $3 one from the dollar store lol!

 Sandstorm's crate is in the bedroom, and it fits perfectly. When puppy comes, YES I'M GETTING A PUPPY, I don't know if that crate will fit in the bedroom also- my house is under 900 sq ft. And I still only get 1/4 of my double bed. We can't get a bigger bed now that we will have two crates!

You definitely won't have room for a bigger bed, at least not until the puppy is old enough to sleep on the bed. Then you'll HAVE to get a bigger bed...there'll be no room for two people and two dogs!

I can't imagine having no room, I have a queen sized bed I share with 2 dogs and I've trained them to stay off my side at night lol! Of course that means they still get half of a queen size bed:ROFLMAO:...talk about spoiled lol.

Ok, another thought...

Baron and Liam were playing and chasing each other around the kitchen into the family room last night!

It was crazy as they ran from one room to another full speed banking off the small sofa on to the floor, into the kitchen, back to the family room like it was a race course!

Since Liam is not fixed yet do you think some of this crazy behavior is due to the fact that Liam is an intact male? He is not showing any signs of humping or aggression. He is just as sweet as he was as a pup.

Certainly doing want to fix him too early. I fixed Laddie at 6 months due to my vets recommendation. He never developed a full coat because he was never allowed to mature.

Did not want to make that mistake again!

All my males have been fixed when I adopted them.

Thoughts?

Sounds like you could be on to something. Deska would always take down adolescent intact males, didn't matter how big they were, he had to show them he was the boss. It was the only time Deska resorted to status seeking, otherwise he didn't care, also funny seeing a Sheltie try to take down a Rottie. And of course when Tully was an adolescent and intact she was attacked 3 times by desexed females, which ended Tully's show career and got her desexed (not that she cared)
