Yes, best chase game you can do is to run away from her like a fiend, and call her name, she'll end up always running after you, instead of away from you.

Excellent point! I will be "training" my humankid this first thing in the morning. I spent a good 20 minutes chasing her around the livingroom tonight, just trying to get her to take out (she ended up making wee wee under my coffee table - that I consider my fault). I can only imagine what that would be like everyday if she thought it was a game!! Thank You!!

Actually, you also want to be careful about running away from her to, because that definitely encourages the herding and nipping at heels. When I brought my first Sheltie home, the kids and I thought it was a great game, but it grows tired after awhile when you've constantly got a puppy latched on to your ankles.

It's never too early to teach "come" and treats are a great incentive. Call her in a happy voice - you want coming to you or anyone else to be the best thing that ever happened to her. Teach your daughter as well.
