Kip isn't feeling well

Glad he is doing better. We had a similar issue with our 1st Sheltie. There were feral cats in our neighborhood and they apparently used our flower beds as their toilet. Unknown to us Hollie must have had a snack and she became very ill - couldn’t keep anything down. I later did find the cat turds buried in the flower bed, and they were full of worms.
 
Fantastic news! Thanks for the updates. I'm so glad Kip is feeling better. Don't be surprised if he doesn't poop for 24 to even 48 hours. After throwing up that much, there's nothing in his system to eliminate, so don't worry. Poop will come! Give Kip a pat for me. :happy:
 
Visited my Mom with Gavin when he was less than a year old.
she has a a big fenced in back yard..
woke in the morning to a tail of woe...
Gavin was confined to kitchen and basement (basically no carpet or hardwood). He tried to make it to the basement sometime during the night, but didn't quite make it.
It was apparently quite explosive (diarrhea) and my Mom felt so guilty she had it and him all cleaned up before I got up.
She had neglected to tell me she had deer poop in her backyard, and only remembered when cleaning up after my puppy.
thankfully he had no other lingering issues, but poop is bad!

Above advice is correct though, with so little food in his system after vomiting, it may be a while before anything makes it through.

Glad he is feeling better after his ordeal!
 
Wow, its so nice to be able to stress about poop with other dog owners who understand, and don't just think I'm weird:) You'll all be relieved to hear that he pooped this morning, so it looks like he is a fully functional Sheltie again. Yay!! (Poor Kip is so embarrassed that I'm talking to people on the internet about this)

Kip is about 99% back to normal this morning. He is still a bit tired, but that's understandable. He played a little, went on a very short walk, and played with the cats. When he starts ripping holes in my clothes again, then I'll know he is 100%!

if today's poop is good - then it will be a good day :biggrin2:

Minnie also throws up if she gets a small piece of bone that she can't diges
lately it was a small piece of soft Chicken bone.

But I rarely give her these things as she obviously has
a digestive problem with bone.

I always check what she throws up, just to see if there are
any little traces of hard tings / bone

Elei you are talking to the Queen of dog poop talk I think!! This morning the first thing I said to my husband was “ Cooper had a really good poop this morning, no runny stuff nice and firm”. ha ha. Like humans poop can tell the tale of many issues so it’s important! Hoping your handsome Kip is doing well! :)
