Kismet in the papert,

Little Kismet, along with her buddies. made it to the social pages of the newspaper. Kismet is in the middle photo on the right (that's not me holding her).

Also is another really cute photo of her from the same event.
Admittedly - the person who took Kismet to the event is the photojournalist.;) I couldn't go because Della was sick after surgery. Wonder if anyone looks at the photo and how social Sheltie people are and decide to get a Sheltie/.

Looks like a neat event, Kismet is adorable in your picture. The paper has the right idea, showing good news instead of bad all the time.
It's nice that you have enough Sheltie people to have something like that. I am sorry you were not able to go your self, maybe next time. :)

Shelties aren't that common here in Australia so it's easy enough to find each other. Recruitment is often via stopping on the street if you drive past a Sheltie, and sometimes we just meet others at local dog events that the govt runs. Five Shelties in the picture I've know from the dog club, one lives near me, another owner I train with her sister and the three tris on the top right are Della's daugther and grandkids. I think because we have these sweet little dogs that the owners tend to be friendly, open people that you'd want to get to know. Gosh have a look how big SF has been.

Isn't that great that there is a Sheltie gathering opportunity! I bet Kismet had a great time, love the up close photo of her. She's just adorable. Hope Della is doing better - was it gallbladder surgery?

When I took Della in for a gallbladder scan the specialist found thickening in her mid intestines. She also has stage 2 GBM and I thought we were going to take it out the gallbladder but the speciallist said to leave it and we'll deal with whatever is wrong internally. So he did open biopsies all along the GI tract (the problem area couldn't be reached by endoscope). He thinks it might be IBD but also could be cancer. Still waiting on results. Unfortunately Della hasn't been well since, with vomiting and sometimes the runs and her anxiety has been through the roof.
