Thanks everyone. Honestly, it's like, Koji forgives me more when he doesn't train so much. So when I make errors, it's like he's more focused or something.
And I agree Sharon, his weaves were awesome!!! Probably due to the adjustment. I truly am amazed how much that helps them seeing as how I don't believe in human chiros. LOL.
And thanks for not thinking they're too crazy, cuz here comes some more.
Here's today's run:
Sunday JWW
Q and 12 more MACH points. OMG! I am so proud of him. The stay didn't really count, cuz he'll stay if I'm next to him. You'll see if you watch the video.
Oh, this one was hilarious!!! I moved to fast past the second jump, Koji went around me, I still got him to get over the jump, then he circled the opposite way I thought he would and by then, I was ALL off my game. I was going to do a FC, but reared to the 180. Then after the tunnel, I took off too slow and Koji bypassed me, which led him to look back at me and almost not take another jump. lol. The ending was better. Again, awesome weaves. At the end, the judge says, "nice save! great job!" LOL.
Another crazy run, mostly because it wasn't anything like I planned, but he forgave me, and although I was screwy, he did what I asked. lol. Oh well. It was a great course. I think I'm getting better, because last time I ran Jan's courses, they were super hard. Now, they're just fun!
I also noticed I'm getting better at handling strange things as they came up. I mean, a lot of ppl's dogs passed them after #2 (where Koji went around me), but they typically would get the refusal and have him go the "correct" way over. I try to adjust my (typically bad) handling and work with what I've got. Why not, isn't that the game? I try to work with my bad handling, but I'm also learning not to allow Koji to do something bad. He went around me because I moved too early. The other people were FC'ing late so their dogs would go wide.
I think the break has helped us. I should do this more often. LOL.
I'm just so proud of Koji and me this weekend. Not only because we Q'd, but because we ran well together, even if it wasn't the optimal run.
ETA: Yesterday's run, even with the weirdness of it all, he ran a tad over 5yps. Wow! Today, with all the craziness, he ran 4.8yps. Go Koji!!!
