Some photos and some "Musings" on Laddie and Chip.
It will be two weeks this coming Saturday when we brought Laddie home. Some of the changes are special, some not so much. Chip would chew and/or eat almost anything he could find, Laddie may have him beat by a little bit. Chip was about one year old before he ventured up the stairway to our upstairs, he still is hesitant if he can see through the backs of the steps. Laddie made it up the stairs this past week, a gate has no effect on him, he just opens it. Chip is content at two years old to abide by almost all of the rules and never gives us any back lash. I doubt Laddie will ever stop pushing the buttons to get a rise out of us or Chip. Play time consists of running full tilt, Laddie can't keep up with Chip or Both running after a toy we throw for fetching. Chip picks it up until Laddie approaches, he then drops the toy and allows Laddie to retrieve it and bring it to whomever threw it.
Not much doubt that Laddie would play 24 hours, Chip goes to Mama if she is on the couch and asks to get up there with her when he has had enough.
Chip was pretty easy to train considering going out to potty. Laddie has only pooped in the house once and that was our fault. He is too busy to bother with telling us when he has to tinkle, unfortunately for any rug that is handy. He goes to an outside door and gives the same little sound Chip does when he has to poop.
Chip is becoming more tolerant every day. Last week he was so sad, believe me they can show it! I done one of my daddy to child things and gave him a talking to. In a nutshell, I just told him we still loved him and I wanted him to be happy. Gave him many kisses and loved on him for about 15 minutes. Next morning he was playing with Laddie and didn't pout when I picked the youngster up and loved on him.
I am sure I will have many more little kid bits about these fabulous Shelties.I sincerely hope you folks do not get totally disgusted with my drivel.
First photo, guess who? How could you not love that face?
Second photo: Three months old, nine pounds six ounces (plus), eleven and three eighths tall.
Third Photo: Kinda speaks for itself.
Fourth photo: Chip is thinking, "Now Really!"
