YES!! Layla is home at last and recovering (we hope). She left Blue Ridge Veterinary Hospital yesterday evening on her own steam. She ate half a can of ID last night and is snoozing by the fire. She has several days of meds to finish up, but we're well out of the woods. I plan to pamper her and take her on a little walk today so stimulate her appetite. I think the picture below shows how we all feel when our Shelties are ill. Thank you, everyone, for the love, prayers and support.

YAY!!! She is in your loving arms again. That photo is all too close to home for me, Chris. Wasn't that long ago I was caring for Brooke. Thanks for the good update and continued good wishes coming your way.

Just catching up now. Glad Layla is already home and feel better. Do you think this was the issue from the start and falling off the bed was just a coincidence?

I think we had two separate things going. I suspect she was harboring a dicey gut condition, and the fall just tipped it over the edge. All is well -- right this inute, she's gobbling breakfast, and last night, she wanted to play tug!!
