I swear I am the worst at being a worrywart!
My brother termed it perfectly... "Liam is just a fragile soul!"
That is why I am overly concerned about him.

My Asta was a "sensitive flower" as my vet called her. Late to this thread due to being out of town and off line - but so glad all is well. Yes leaving them is the WORST but thank god they all come home the same day now, you used to have to leave them overnight. A number of my Shelties have had bad tummies after anesthesia, should wear off by today. Give Liam a gentle pat for me, and a glass of wine for you? ;)

Gloria - Just reading this my tears comes -it is so painful :cry:

My vet I have for years - know I am hysterical and need to be there
until the anesthesia works and I get called so I am there before my dog wakes up.

I wanted Minnie only had the ovaries removed and would
only get a small cut and an inside stitch :yes:

My vet did not think she was good for inside stitch

It was summer and we were in the summer house

So we drove 3 hours back to our townhouse where there was
a vet nearby who had Sheltie herself and who allowed me to be there
when Minnie was stunned and had to be there when she woke up.
Yes, maybe quite weird and 425 usd more expensive than a normal sterilization :confused2:

Not only is she better, she went on a 40 minute walk today and ran around, she's fine. The only restriction she has now is to keep that onesie on untill the stitches are removed. She doesn't seem to mind the onesie that much.

Nothing unusual about this at all Hanne! I have a wonderful vet who allows me to be there throughout the entire operation and waking up and until it's time for them to go home. I'm willing to pay more knowing the excellent care they get. That's priceless!

Liam looks so much more content in the second picture...as much as he tolerated the onesie clearly he prefers nothing. Your dog bed is almost the same as mine except mine is smaller, it was Piper's but Finnie loves to snuggle in it. My mom says they take turns sleeping in it lol.

I swear he is back to normal and I have to be careful not to let him out with Baron and Beau because he feels so good he wants to run and play!

P.S. My mom says I need a good brushing so apologies for my less than pristinely groomed coat!

He looks very happy! Understandable that his rest is more important than being perfectly groomed right now. You've both had a rough week..it's allowed!:)
