Lion Cut

I've seen an older Shetie with a puppy cut because of a skin condition and that looked cute. The lion cut, however, is simply ridiculous!

That poor Sheltie. :(
 
Looking through their album it appears to be a cut they give them for the summer time. They must think it helps with the heat but doesn't make any sense to me it could also open them up for opportunity of a sunburn.
 
I don't even like poodles with silly haircuts, let alone a sheltie which has a beautiful coat, no alteration needed!

I notice there is a fashion developing for dying white dogs in different shades of colours, like bright green, pink, blue. Some people have too much time and not enough sense.
 
Shanjen, Maisie and Holly all came to us with these lion cuts. Disgusting ... and so totally wrong on a sheltie for a number of reasons - looks, coat health, etc.

They've all grown beautiful coats since (well, except for Holly) and we've promised them we will never do that to them in the future.
