looking for a cool martingale

I could only find the one with the chain here, so I got that and tried it on Romeo. I think it would probably give quicker control too compared to a fabric one but Romeo found the chain too heavy. He's used to very light collars. The chain part tends to hang down the front and he seems to get annoyed with it. haha!

Not sure that a martingale will help much in terms of not flattening out the rough, a round collar is still best for that. Sadie's martingale is usually taken off when we're not out for a walk.

I think I saw one of the websites posted had round collar leather martingales....sounds like the best of all worlds!
