Lost Sheltie Low Quebec

Wish I could start the week off saying she was home but she is still missing. They are still actively searching everywhere they can for her.

I just checked Maureen's blog a few hours ago.....they are still hot on her trail, but have not found her yet. But still hopeful!

I also spoke with Maureen yesterday.

She is still hot on the trail, but not getting a lot of support from local authorities and local farmers. There have been recent signs of her, but I really fear because the weather has been so cold.

Bless Maureen....Flicka is one of her dogs that she released a few years ago. Maureen is one of those breeders that one of her dogs is ALWAYS one of her dogs!

Thanks for the update Barb. At least, it sounds, like Flicka is still alive. I just pray she is found safely. Kudos to breeders like Maureen. This is what a BREEDER is all about!

I'm seeing her tomorrow (to look at one of her girls, actually!). I cannot believe the effort that she is doing to find this dog. I guess this is the mark of a true breeder.....they are forever yours.....Bless you Maureen!

So excited for you Barb. This sounds like a breeder I would be friends with. I know you said that the police aren't being too helpful but, unless it is already being done, tell Maureen that when one of the rescue dogs escaped a lead we printed mini posters and gave them to anyone that delivered anything -ie pizza, etc - as well as the local police. It was an officer that was doing his patrol that spotted her and called it in to us. We said, on the poster, call anytime - day or night. BTW, our coordinator swears by KFC for live trapping a dog. She managed to get a sheltie that had been living in a cemetery for 2 years that no one could get close to.
