Lost

I am so sorry you have lost Misty, it is so hard when they go, no matter how old they are. I bet she was an awesome girl.
 
So very sorry for your loss. When Cody crossed the bridge, I cried like a baby. No shame in that, you love them like they were your child. He has been gone over 7 months, and the tears have been replaced by fond memories. Still, every once in a while, my heart aches for him. I am certain that will never change.:sadsmile:

Still having to deal with arrangements (just the right stone etc) for her burial will keep this front and center in me for the time being.

I just wanted to share my experience with you on the loss of my heart sheltie Billy. He was my fist rescue and made such an impact on me that I was shattered when I lost him to a gall bladder and cancer. For weeks I was inconsolable. I just sat in a dark room sobbing.

Losing such a beloved companion is one of the most heartbreaking times we face in life. These wonderful little souls love us so unconditionally and their passing leaves a huge empty space in our hearts. Time does help take the sharpest edges off your grief, but the missing never fully goes away even years later.

I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your Misty. May all the precious memories of the life you shared together help you through the days to come.

I am so sorry for your loss. I understand the pain you are going through. It does get easier and one day you will be able to happily remember all the good times with Misty.

When we lost Hollie as terrible as it sounds but we were devastated and cried more over her than our own grandparents. We also created a little memorial for her with Holly bush and a stone that say " run free" with an angel dog on it.
