Marking in the house

So I have been fostering a dog for the local rescue. This is the heartworm positive dog that I asked about in another post. I've been giving him more freedom since he is done with the heartworm treatment (he was crated most of the time to be quiet). He is an un nuetered male who was found as a stray with another dog. The other dog is in foster care and is having some serious housebreaking issues.

My foster has been pretty good but in the last month I have noticed him marking inside the house. I have the belly bands and he's going to either be crated or wearing a band until I get to the bottom of this. My vet said it's the time of year that their hormones start going and that once he's nuetered this will probably stop. He cannot be neutered until his heartworm test comes back clean, probably at least a few months yet.

In the meantime, any tips on how to get him to stop ? I do clean the areas with natures miracle pretty thoroughly when I find something. And I started feeding him on the spot where he marked a few times.

Is he actually wetting (marking) through the belly band? I would line the belly band with panty liners and make sure it is snug enough against his penis and belly. I have never had a dog that wet the belly band more then once when he realized that the pee stayed against him.
We only have to use belly bands on visiting dogs that are standing at stud at our house. They get very used to wearing a belly band during any in house family time...to the point that as they come in the house they stop and wait for me to put on the belly band, LOL.

So far he has not wet through the belly band. It does fit pretty snug against him and it stays put as he moves around. He tried to take it off but I put a little hot sauce on the velcro and he's left it alone.

He also tried to hump my neighbor's (male) dog last night ... he's never tried to hump before. I suspect that he is feeling better after the lymes and heartworm treatment. He was a very sick boy when he first came. I'm glad he's feeling better but not so happy that he's realizing that he's 'all boy' LOL.
