I'm afraid things are getting very real here. They just announced this afternoon that Westminster is being postpoined until sometime later in 2022. That's huge. I suspect dog show cancellations will start soon again.

Wow- hadn't heard that.....I'm afraid things are getting very real here. They just announced this afternoon that Westminster is being postpoined until sometime later in 2022. That's huge. I suspect dog show cancellations will start soon again.
I imagine they’ll start canceling shows here too Ann! Too many vaccinated getting it. I myself had the booster and I still won’t do any dog classes right now...even grocery stores aren’t safe. That’s too bad about Westminster but I think until they know more about this variant it’s for the best.I'm afraid things are getting very real here. I don’t think it will ever be the same… so sad.I imagine they’ll start canceling shows here too Ann! Too many vaccinated getting it. I’m with YOU, Sharon!Milder or no, I just don't want to get it
That does not seem to be the case here in Michigan... numbers are really climbing...The silver lining to this latest surge is that the variants are weakening. Signs that the pandemic is ending. No one wants to get it, but at least now if you do, it is very unlikely you will end up severely ill, or in the hospital. This too will pass, as all things do.

It will be eventually Gloria. The fact that this variant doesn’t make people as sick just shows it’s going in the right direction. I fully believe that this will follow the course of the 1918 pandemic. That one disappeared...we didn’t have vaccines or any way of preventing it so it continued to mutate until it no longer affected them. Question is how long will that take, it took 2-3 years in 1918.I don’t think it will ever be the same… so sad.
I agree...I don’t want it either. Also don’t want my mom to get it. I’m not living in fear but my habits have certainly changed....that’s what may not go back the way it was lol...I used to be a shopaholic and I can go weeks without shopping unless I have to hahaha. I spend way less this way!It doesn't surprise me as things are raging again. I'm wondering if our Odor Recognition Test for Jan 30 will be cancelled since it is indoors as well. I am back to wearing an N95 mask everywhere and staying out of anywhere non-essential. Although I am still going to do my gym routine M, W. F, weights only and no cardio, with my N95 mask on and see if I can stand it. I really don't want to backslide on the strength training esp after my knee surgery.
Milder or no, I just don't want to get it.
