Some of the cats belong to friends or family. Others are at the Humane Society, where I volunteer as a photographer. We do have a 13 year old cat but he hasn't met the puppy yet (any introduction tips would be welcomed!)
As far as the cat, just let them met on their own terms. Don't let Coby chase or pounce on the cat and I'm sure the cat will come around. When I brought my first sheltie home, my cat didn't appears for a couple weeks. But I soon caught him checking the pup out. They play and sleep togther now. Now he sees a new pup and he is like "man another one". My cat is 15 yr and older than all my dogs.
Oh and if you cat has claws clip them short. Usually one or 2 paw pops and shelties forget about the cats.
Welcome to the forum, Coby is very cute. My favorite picture is where Coby's is sleeping with his face in the his crate while the rest of his body is outside.
