Merlin 03/03/97 - 30/07/13

A brief period of grief and sadness cannot compare to a lifetime of companionship and devotion. Merlin has thrown off the burden of his years and is playing for eternity.
 
The longer they are in our lives the harder it is to let them go. What a wonderful life Merlin had, he sounds like a fabulous Sheltie representative. Hugs to you and your aunt. She must be lost without her dear friend.

Merlin is frolicking at the Bridge, now.

My deepest sympathys' for your Aunt's loss, it is always so sad to hear of lossing our furbaby companions. It is apparent that Merlin was well taken care of and lived a long, pampered, and much loved life in your world. Now he can play pain free at the Bridge as he waits for his loved human to join him, that they might walk The Golden Stairs together. RIP little Merlin.

Thank you all so much for your kind thoughts, which I've passed on to my Auntie. It will take time for her to get used to him not being around as he was such a huge part of her life. The space left by a small sheltie seems so large. :sadsmile:
 
Olive and I are both so sorry to hear of Merlin's passing. My sincere condolences to your aunt and your family.
