Was this a BAA show? I liked the different types of classes that you were doing.
Loved the bit when Merlin got on the dog walk and everyone clapped, I'm finding agility folk are so supportive of each other. It looks like you have good directional commands and there was a great call off the last jump on the course where you had to loop round again.
Love the picture of Merlin with his rosette, he looks very proud and rightly so!
And well done on going further afield with the driving too. Agility is a big motivator!
Yes Julia it was BAA, I have found them very supportive and positive. I didn't even realise they had clapped me until I watched the video! I go so focused when I run!
Intro jumping was really really nice! You've made some definite progress from the last video posted. Kudos!
One little tip, I would work on keeping your arm down a bit. I remember one time my instructor said "You do realize your dog is only 16" tall, right?" But it was a good point--my arm was up and out. At some point the dog can't see it anymore, or even chooses to ignore it if it's always up/out. Try to use your arm more judiciously--when he needs to work away from you, go on in a straight line, etc. If you use your arm less, when you do use it, it will be more effective.
Thank you Corbinam, I was thinking the same. My arm signals, certainly on the first Steeplechase are just repetitive and meaningless, lol! I need to work on that.
