Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you, your Mom and your furkids, Lisa! It's been a tough year for some but I'm thankful it's the end and hope 2026 will be better. We were gifted with the lovely stomach virus making the rounds which hit my husband hard yesterday so all our Christmas plans have tanked since this is not something we want to share.

Sandy, I'm so happy for you to have your boys with you. It's a special time for family and I know you'll enjoy it.

I am thankful for all of you on this Forum, which Kelly reminded me this week I have been a part of since Day One. It has sure been a blessing, as all of you are. We may never meet but you and your pups are all special to me. Love and Christmas wishes to all of you!
Having a stomach bug is horrible at any time of the year but especially bad at Christmas!
I hope you all feel better soon!
On the plus side Ukrainian Christmas is in 2 weeks…you could always celebrate late? Just pretend you’re Ukrainian….😁

Wife and her mom both had it a couple of days ago. Looks like they both will be will enough for Christmas Dinner. (Seafood Gumbo). I have never had the stomach flu. Been around it all my life, never has infected me. Hope your hubby feels better soon.
A day or two tops for me but then you can feel run down a few more (so less enthused about food). However your house is a hard pass on a poison Christmas. I don't even do fish based food for the guys at my house :ROFLMAO:

Ooohhhh seafood gumbo would definitely be a hard no especially after a GI bug. I actually did make a gumbo years ago and I remember it being really good but it was a sausage and shrimp gumbo (and I didn’t eat the shrimp). Although I’m sure homemade authentic would be delicious.

I've had prime rib in the fridge waiting to be cooked for three days now. Instead hubby got chicken and rice. Hey, it works for the dogs, why not? Thankfully now that Christmas is over he's improving. We did have snow, and visitors though....Ian and Teddy, you turkey lovers would enjoy these! One of them had the nerve to sit on my deck rail!
