Oh my goodness! That is one large group of turkeys! I actually googled to see what they would be called... you know like geese are referred to as a gaggle of geese, but there is no word. So it is in all honesty that there is no words to describe your turkeys! We've had groups in, especially when the babies start to get that mid season size, but never, ever that many! Oh the smells your girls must have been exposed to after!

I would think the prime rib would still be good to cook, you could call a butcher, but man, I do find beef a tad harder to digest. We did one Christmas day - we used to do turkey again but Prime Rib is just SO much easier! We do a Feast of the 7 Fishes on Christmas Eve. We were exposed years ago by our Italian neighbors who do for New Years Eve. We spend all Christmas Eve eating different fishes and I I top it all off with a bouillabaisse containing cod, shrimp, bay scallops, clams, crab. It's an Instant-pot recipe that is so tasty, satisfying yet a 'lighter' meal which we all need after calamari and mussels and smoked salmon... :) The gumbo soups FAB and I would love to try!

Hope you all are feeling better and sitting indoors enjoying the beauty that was dumped on us last night! We got hit with 10-12 inches, I have yet to get out with a measuring tape. The boys had a grand old time last night jumping in the air eating snowflakes, barking.... they are just so funny in snow!

Hope you had a good Christmas Lisa, those pics are so good and thank you for the card :hugs. Pleased they got to the water leak before things got too bad!

Love all the snow shots (and Turkey pics haha), we've had a little bit here but nothing like what everyone has had across the pond!

You're quite welcome Darren! I hear you're supposed to get a storm this week...hope it's not as bad as they say it will be! You just may get some white stuff!

It looks like we are going to get lucky and the storm is going to hit the south of the country and miss me. We had a light coating of snow that has already gone. I really want some real snow but maybe not as much as what you get hit with :lol:

I love a good snow storm!
What I don’t like is the bitter cold that usually follows them.
I stock up at the grocery store and then I don’t worry about leaving the house for 4-5 days…it’s the best!
30-40 cm’s of snow really shuts things down but it gives you time to plan ahead.
I must say the past couple years we’ve been getting more snowstorms and milder weather. Just yesterday our high was -2 and the low was -8. The normal high is -14 and normal low is -24. I’m definitely seeing the effects of global warming on our weather here…not as cold but increasing precipitation.
Glad you didn’t get all that snow! I saw a video from Scotland…it looked like a very heavy wet snow! The worst kind, but great to make snowballs or snowmen! lol
