Not changing her name just the pronunciation.I was'nt sure if I wanted Mia (long E) or long "Y". i think we have settled on saing it with a long "y".

We have been quite touched by everyone's responses,publically & privately.Mia will be a wonderful addition to the family.

We are looking forward to learning & growing together.I'm sure we will be asking lots of advice,as we enter on this life long journey with Mia.

We have done lots of reading,and I know there is still more out there that I can referance to.But what I have learned is that even though the double disadvantage of blind & deaf,she can and will have the best quality of life we can give her.

I was wondering how you were pronouncing her name. I get about 50/50 mee-a to mi-a as clients. Same with Kia but not as much, more pronounce like the car.
