Mia...is coming home-

Thursday will be here before you know it. I have been reading all these post on the blind pets and had never even thought that you would suture their eyes shut. I have a friend in Iowa that has a deaf Aussie and 2 blind cats. Michele you will do great with this girl and I can't wait to hear more. Gibe that Brian a big hug.

I sure will Susan! We are all abuzz here since the phone call.So we are in puppy proofing mode here,as Thursday will be here before you know it.

One of the things Lara told me on the phone, was that Mia spent the night with one of the foster moms that are in CARE,and while Mia was there, they had her outside playing. They turned on a flood light, floresant light outside, and she responded to the light wand went towards it.

So that is a good sign, she may have some light perception, and we can only hope it gets stronger as she matures.

It is so touching that you are taking Mia into your home, Michele. A hug to both you and Brian for doing so. I look forward to hearing about your adventures, challenges, and successes.

If she has light perception she might get some moving object perception. When my eye was hurt that was all I had. If you put something in front of me I could not tell but if it moved I could notice that. With that her ability to play would go up

OMG, I can't wait until Thursday! I'm so excited to see how the doggies all get along. I'm praying Mia will immediately know she is loved and that she will be taken care of forever.

God bless you guys!!

From what I understand from Lara,Mia's ability to play & romp really was not hindered.Although she has been on "crate rest" to help her leg which has just recently had a splint removed.

Lara said she is as happy as can be,and wants to romp & play.

Michele I am so far behind. Congratualtions on Mia. I am sure that she will bless your lives as much as you are blessing her's by taking her in. I can't wait to see more pictures of her. Hugs to you and Brian and the boys.

I am eagerly awaiting all of the posts you guys will put up. Mia is going to be in such a warm, loving home!
