Update on Bailey~
Talked to Greta last night,to check in to see how her new foster Bailey was doing. She said that he is settling in fine,but did get an x-pen for him.
He is so fragile,that she is afraid the others may bump him,topple him over. Outside she said they all play well,but she keeps him on a leash.
So we were talking about behavior things,that both of us have experianced with Mia & Duncan,and how some ways Bailey also has these traits,but is unable to cope or think it out.
Say,like when Bailey is put outside,he cannot control body movements to help get himself grounded. He seems to lack control and immediately runs uncontrollably,and if not watched,he would hurt himself.
With Mia,I always experianced her being being careful,not spastic in her movements out side,and took her time slowly to get to know the yard etc. They seem to have the same trait of throwing thier heads back,Mia does this alot,but I am sure her sense of smell is in overdrive.
Greta does not think Bailey has any light perception,nor do I as I did differant things with lighting while she was here with him,and no response from him.
We also thought,there may also be something underlying with Bailey. Maybe neurological possibly. I told her there is no telling what the pup may have endured in his life,that may contribute to his off balance.
But in all,he is such a love,listens to her voice,and goes directly to her. Yesterday she called him,and he came to her and snuggled in her lap went to sleep. And snored!
The right home will come along,one with experiance with special needs. keeping paws crossed for him.
