Mom has her bratty boy back

Thank you - I treated myself to a new Canon camera from my income tax return. Just picked it up yesterday - love it.

Liam looks like he is ready for action. YEAH !! Enjoy your new camara. I would enjoy some pics of your doggie treats and your trio chowing down on them. Tou could put them in the Cook Book you are working on...

Happy dance time with Liam

I had Liam in to the vet's this morning for the first part of his annual boosters. He has gained 1.5 pounds and is up to 18.6 pounds from a couple of weeks ago.:smile2:

The vet and I had a discussion about feeding raw. He is comfortable with me doing so, where he wouldn't be with others. He has recommended a supplement that he is familiar with and has seen used. So Liam is now officially on raw only, other than the odd small biscuit for his treats. I may never know what triggered the latest episodes of him hiding and having pain and discomfort, but I suspect something in the processed canned food. The girls can raw at night as well and you should hear the cacophony of sound as I am getting the meals ready.

Thanx once again for all the support, suggestions, hints, and ideas.

So glad to hear Liam is back to his naughty self. It is so hard on us when the furkids are sick, even worse when you just don't know what's causing it. Good luck with the new diet.

Cheers Liam ... you are looking pretty chipper! You and Brandi would make a good team - she has one ear that turns down and the other that sticks up as well!

Just a quick update on Liam. It has been over two months now since his surgery. I had him on the raw diet (ground meat, pureed veggies, and cottage cheese) for about 6-7 weeks. Gradually he started not wanting to eat it and stared so hard at the girls' dishes with their kibble and then at the pantry where the food is kept. I tried him out on kibble one of his two meals a day for a few days to see how he made out. He is now back totally on kibble and doing well. He is starting to get a nice heavy coat again. When he was ill and just before, his coat had gotten so thin. For a while, I was not sure if he would survive. He is doing just great, initiating play, beating up on Natalie (Emma doesn't let him away with this). He still likes to curl up on my knee when I am sitting down just for hugs and stays there for 30 minutes or more. He is my lovebug of the three.

Once again, thank you all so much for your support and prayers. To ClantyreSheltie, thank you for reminding me of Lew Olson's book. It is now on my bookshelf as a permanent part of my dog library.

So glad to hear Liam is on the mend and gaining weight! He certainly looks happy in the photo! How old is he?
