Mom's leaving me for a whole week!!!!

Gypsy, I know a secret. New people like this Lori lady always feel sad for us when they watch us, so they give us lots of treats! At first you will be sad because you miss your mom, and Lori will give you treats to make you happy again. Then, even if you aren't AS sad, put on your really sad face, and she will give you more treats. It works like a charm!

I always go to the party house. We just walked there the other day and my buddy Spot the Black German Shepherd was there and as usual my buddy Rascal the weiner dog. Then there was 'the' bear and I think I am wearing him down as his tail wagged. Yep soon he will play also.

So you just need a party house Ms Gypsy

Newton here.....Gypsy last year when my people went away on vacation I was sure that I was never going to see my Mommy again and I did not eat...well maybe a little bit of hotdog, but I just didn't have any appetite. Then when Mommy and Daddy (and yeah yeah, StickBoy too) got back home Mommy was VERY upset that I had lost 2.5 lbs. This year when they went on vacation I was A GOOD BOY and I ATE MY MEALS. And yeah, the hotdogs too. HE HE HEhehehehe Josh and EB were EASY marks. So anyway, our people need this vacation thingy every now and then and its OK to miss them but not OK to stop eating.

I called the vet tech to see how Gypsy did at lunchtime. Gypsy wouldn't leave the apt. so she finally picked her up and put her in the elevator put her down and Gypsy ran from the elevator right to the apt., Lori than carried her all the way outside and Gypsy wanted nothing to do with that either sat at the building door until Lori agreed to come back in. I can see atleast the first couple days will be tough. Can't really bribe her with many treats with the Kidney issue, but atleast she is getting daily fluids. I told Lori if Gypsy goes more than 2 days no food take her to work with her and see if the vet thinks she needs to be admitted while I am away. It's going to be a log week worrying about her.

Dawn, I hope Gypsy does better. It's so hard to leave them. Even when you know they are in the best of care.

I hope all go well on your trip. Good luck with the house hunting and try not to worry too much. Gypsy doesn't need mommy to get sick with worry. :wink2:

I'm sorry Gypsy is not eating. Hopefully, she will feel more at ease and get hungry and eat something soon.

It's so hard leaving them, but we do need a vacation every once in a while. Just a few more days and then Gypsy's routine will go back to normal.

Praying that Miss Gypsy is doing better today.

Come on Gypsy, please eat and go "outside potty" for Lori. We (especially Mommy) will be so relieved when you do these things.

Gypsy should take advantage of mom being away: jump on the couch, watch Animal Planet on TV with the baby sitter Lori and bark at the neighbor's cat! Mommy be home soon with lots of hugs and kisses!
